It is above all a personal commitment that we, Yves and Sylvie, make to our beautiful old house, our land, our immediate environment, our island and, as humans living on Earth, our fragile unique planet in the vast Milky Way.

Just as the Little Prince did with his rose, we are aware that our well-being is closely linked to that of the natural and built environment around us. We want to do our part to reduce our environmental footprint to maintain, or even improve, the quality of life for all.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF THE POLICY

Being both a responsible corporate citizen and an agent of change in our community and in our sector of activity, we wish to extend the application of this policy to our suppliers as well as to you, the reader.

DEVELOPMENT POLICY

WHAT WE ALREADY DO

Own only one car -- it is a hybrid.
Salt pool rather than chlorine.
Avoid the dryer by hanging clothes and sheets on the outdoor clothesline.
Use only certified eco-friendly products for shampoo, soaps, room cleaning and laundry.
Compost on site all kitchen waste, table scraps, leaves and garden waste. Compost juice is excellent for stimulating soil life.
Let dandelions grow, the first food flowers of spring for pollinating insects.
Have chosen and planted trees whose fruits are used to naturally feed birds.
Support biodiversity through our shelters for birds, bees and bats (B&Birds -- B&Bates --B&Bloom -- B&Bees).
Reduce water consumption.
- By collecting and using rainwater to water flowers and garden.
- By refusing to water the lawn.
Prioritize suppliers in the choice of our ingredients for our gourmet menus.
Prepare our menus while respecting the rhythm of the harvests.
