In 2019, after having lived for 11 years on the island of Terre de Haut in Guadeloupe,
Sylvie inherits the country house.
Third generation of women owners (Juliette, Suzanne, Sylvie)
of this magnificent family home:
La maison de l'île
This century-old residence is on the cultural heritage register.
It is located in one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec
-- St-Jean of Île d'Orléans --
and faces the majestic St. Lawrence River.
In 2020, while retaining the traditional cachet of the house,
Sylvie and Yves, her lifelong accomplice, have converted it into a B&B -
for Bed & Brunch
Inspired by the lifestyle they practiced in Guadeloupe,
they have agreed to direct your experience towards
“outdooring” or “living outside”.
This means that, depending on the weather, you will "brunch"
under the awning or on the gallery.
In addition, they have installed, for your benefit, a swimming pool, a campfire, a game of pétanque, croquet, a swing as well as chairs to sunbathe while watching the boats go by, the stars shine, or the moon rising over the water.
As they did together in Guadeloupe, by creating the gîtes
In a garden in Terre de Haut
as Sylvie did at the reception of the Méridien hotel in Montreal and
Yves, as director of the small Auberge de Jouvence in Magog:
They welcome you with open arms.
